assalamualaikum ...

on January 28, 2020 it was finished Tuesday as the second day of our practice week (class 2A) and on this day we were told to gather at 06; 30 wita, after that we were online to make morning attendance and grooming checks, after that I and my friends were told to be sponsored again to be given directly by Mr. Faisal Akbar Zainal about MENU, what was that menu? What is in the menu? Before I continue, I will explain what MENU is.

The following is an explanation of the menu:

The menu comes from the French "Le Menu" which means a list of foods served to guests in the dining room. In a domestic environment, the menu is defined as a specific food / dish arrangement. By the English menu is also called "Bill of Fare". The menu is a guide for those who prepare food / dishes, even a guide for those who enjoy it because it will be illustrated about what and how the food is made. According to Pellapart, a very famous gastronomy expert, the word menu was known for the first time in 1541, when Dukeof Brunsick wrote everything that would be served at a party he held.

The menu also functions as a menu function that depends very much on who uses the menu, so it can be described as follows:

1. The menu functions for the company are:
a. As a medium of communication between the guest and the company by including the name of the food clearly and using language that is easily understood by guests.
b. As a promotional media by including:
-Facilities in hotels, are all existing facilities such as: restaurants, sports, swimming and recreation can be promoted in the form of pictures and writing.
-Food area and favorites and special
-Promote external companies such as: beer stars, cigarettes, and others.

f the menu as a work guideline for:
a.Dapur namely:
- Determine the food ingredients needed
-Determine the number of tools
-Define the number of personnel
b.Restaurant namely:
-Define a table set-up
-Determine the number and type of cutlery
-Define the number of personnel
c.Steward, namely:
-Prepare necessary tools such as: cutleries, chapping, dish, platter and others
d.Guests namely:
-As a tool or media guide in making choices
-As a guideline in the ability to buy food
the menu also has several types namely;

- a'la carte menu
a list of dishes consisting of various food choices at their respective prices.
- table D'hote menu / set menu
list of meal packages consisting of one type of food from the appetizer - dessert with the overall price
- blue plate menu
a list of dishes consisting of one food package is added with a choice of soft drinks at a price
- special party menu
in essence is the table d'hote menu, the only difference is the purpose of the menu.
Special Party This menu is used only for banquets or special parties.
- breakfast menu
Breakfast menu is a menu that is consumed in the morning,
breakfast dishes are usually open at a restaurant or hotel from 7
until 11 o'clock.

and also the menu has several properties namely;

-static menu
menu changes are done every 6 months and usually the menu has been prepared from a variety of choices, so that it can last up to 6 months, even more.
example; Ala Carte Menu, Table D'hote Menu.
- cycle Menu
changes and replacements once a week or every day change, and usually only consists of one or two kinds of choices.

That was some explanation from MENU, and I will write back what I and my friend did in the kitchen today, after we were given the material. we were told to go online at the cold kitchen and continue preparing yesterday to finish today, I continued the English muffin that I made yesterday. removed from the freezer and then on the pan, after that we set-up the product that you made yesterday to give to the restaurant.
as shown below:
and also some of my friends who make apple juice and pinapple juice.

after that, each (2 people) of each group is appointed to make Croissants, I don't know what croissants are. I will explain first what is a croissant

Croissants are a type of bread with a layered dough (flaky bread) originating from France. Called croissants because of their shape which is similar to the crescent moon. In France, croissants are usually eaten as a breakfast dish with butter and orange jam (orange marmalade).

after that our seniors (kak agung) showed and explained step by step the process of making croissants.

After showing, I and other friends were given the task to make a product that we made again to correct the mistakes that occurred yesterday.
the final result of croissants

after we made the product that we made yesterday, we were given a menu for the next day and we were told to prepare the ingredients to be used, by chance my group got the Taliwang Chicken and pickles menu. after we prepare we also do general cleaning and go home.
